Hogar de Ninas translated in English means “Home for Girls.” The home has been open since April of 2000 and cares for girls between the ages of 2 and 18.

 

In addition to the standards of the Honduran Government which oversees all Honduran public orphanages, we provide a safe haven filled with love. Our staff consists of local women who live on-site and dedicate their lives to serving the girls.

 

The focus of the Hogar is to provide special care for girls who have come from abusive situations. We have certified counselors who come to the home weekly and help the girls find peace in their past and hope for their future.

 

Each girl attends a private Christian school on the property and works with a tutor to further their academic success. They also have a full-time social worker.  Both the local community and mission teams that go abroad love these girls and consider them family.
